Alai Ishker Aiymdary PA — Nazgul Mamatova
Public association of women entrepreneurs in the Alai District of Osh region, exporting handicrafts from the southern Pamir foothills.
Alai Ishker Aiymdary (literally ‘businesswomen of the Alai’) is a public association based in Gulcho, the centre of the Alai district in Osh region. Founded by Nazgul Mamatova, the association brings together women artisans from the Pamir foothill villages — felt-makers, embroiderers, leatherworkers — and coordinates their export under a single brand. Beyond direct sales, the association runs workshops on financial literacy, design and quality standards. EcoNomad arranges visits along the Pamir Highway tours combining a workshop demonstration with a homestay night.
