Jyrgalan

Jyrgalan is a former Soviet coal-mining settlement that has reinvented itself as Kyrgyzstan's prime ski-touring base. Surrounded by the Terskey Ala-Too range with reliable snow from December to April, it now hosts a community-driven cooperative offering ski touring, snowshoeing and summer trekking.
