Kochkor

Kochkor is a district town between Issyk-Kul and the Naryn high country, sitting at the foot of the road to Lake Song-Kol. Famous for its women's felt-making cooperative (one of the oldest in Kyrgyzstan), Kochkor is a typical staging town: bazaar, simple guesthouses, refuelling stop before the long climb.
